Sure, but your "local library" isn't going to have articles on Biblical scholarship. It may have a few books of course, and you can request books.

With regard to page 162-163, where you say that a "sign" is used to validate that a prophet is "of God", how can this be so when false prophets can give signs according to Deut. 13?
It's because signs can validate them that the warning of Deut. 13 is given. If it didn't validate them, why the warning to be careful about them?

You seem to be describing what you find in the Bible, so this isn't a criticism of what you have said exactly, but a criticism of the Bible.
Not at all. The "Bible" recognizes the problem. So according to Mark, does Jesus.

If there is any question that Jesus is going away from the Torah, being able to give a sign will not help him. He can give the sign, it doesn't matter. Jesus still has to be rejected as a false prophet.
Did you go on to read what I said about the nature of the sign he is asked to give?

And the Pharisees came forth,

It means they just missed Bronze.

Yes, you may have a point if the prophet is clearly in keeping with the Torah and following the Jewish God. But I think you were talking about it validating people when that was in question.

How?

I think I read what was available. (That seems to be up to page 170)

Also, the warning could be given because some people may think it validates.
