If you check the bible from Qumran, you'll find many small variations, some large ones. They all circulated at the same time. The existence of books like Sam/Kings and Chronicles you can see that different editions of material exist with quite large differences. Your thoughts simply don't represent the reality.

Do we have two separate mythical people - one earth bound, the other heavenly - "Jesus" and "Christ" who for the sake of the story - about death - were joined together, and the human bit - Jesus - later blown up like a ballooon - to make the story feel more real?

Vork, your links are fascinating, is Crispin Fletcher Louis working from an assumed HJ paradigm, has anyone reworked these types of arguments from an MJ perspective?

The quote from the Westminster confession, and thinking about my experience, seems to be saying that xians unconsciously acknowledge two seperate persons - Jesus and Christ. Has anyone summarised how these terms are used, when separately, when together, and looked at the timeline?
