You have the right to deny the Christ but it was this John who becomes the favorite apostle who later gets introduced to Mary as her son. I know you might think that it is a weird turn of events but you must realize that it was the Jews (or Judaism rather) who caused this event to come about and they do a fine job of presenting it.

Jesus was not there to fulfill prophesies but was the fulfillment of prophesy. The difference here is that he does not bend the rules to make Jews happy but if anything, Jews must bend the rules to make Jesus happy.

This isn't weird, it is just logically impossible and it doesn't really have much to do with this thread either.

No, prophecy is put forth by god in the OT and it matters not whether Jews bend or jesus bends to its will. If the prophecies are true, they will occur and it wont be any secret to anyone.

In matthew 11:7, it just mentions john's disciples leaving with no acknowledgement. This would be a correct course since jesus really did answer their question unintentionally with his ignorance. The NT's jesus falls for this time and again of not understanding scripture.

What do mean "by God?" OT is a group of people mesmerized or motivated by the love of God or absense of this love.
