I agreed totally. They shouldn't be. If there was an answer, I wouldn't have started the thread.

I know who killed Martin Luther King. I know who murdered Thomas Becket. I know who assassinated Pope John Paul II. But nobody knows who killed Jesus.

It depends on the sort of Christian you are. After the end of World War II, when the scope of the Holocaust became undeniable, a number of decent Christians were embarrassed by the history of anti-Semitism in their church, and the long history of Christian use of those scriptures as a justification to persecute and murder Jews.
