Manuel Paleologus, Dialogue with a learned Persian
Most of us will remember that Pope Benedict quoted from this dialogue in an appeal for more tolerance, whereupon there was worldwide rioting by Moslems, who objected to being described as "violent".
I've translated the first 18 chapters of the Seventh Dialogue -- the bit that is relevant. It's here: http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/ma...gue7_trans.htm This is public domain, so do what you want with it. Unfortunately the remainder is so boring that I couldn't face translating it (up to chapter 37). Rather than not make it available, here it is. |

This is the real and true reason why Europe and Islam have an underlying problem with America, which mandated separation of state and religion, equal justice for all, and inalienable human rights. America outlawed religious racism - a battle still raging today. No one can dent the Hebrew laws - these rule the world and humanity, and those who do not adhere to these laws are considered outside of the law. There are no world accepted laws from Christianity or Islam; these all come from the Hebrew - exclusively: amazing but true! |
