Default So many Sects of christianity... What does the Bible have to say?

There are thousands of different sects within christianity. I've had a fundy say this is so because the bible says it would happen.

What does the bible actually say about all the different interpretations of the Bible we have today?

What I really wanted to know was: what passages in the bible actually back up this viewpoint?

"...gainsaying..." = "...divisions..." = "...confusion..."

Yes, I could have fully written each one out, and given the verse numbers, however the words occur so few times that anyone that knows how to access a concordance may locate the verses and their contexts.

I tried all three verses (from the KJV) for gainsaying and none of them supported your position. Now, instead of you being confusing etc... why don't you explain.

History shows that the Orthodox Church is the direct descendent of the original Christian communities, the Church which Christ and the Apostles founded on this earth. Any church other than Orthodoxy is nothing more than a tangent of the true faith.

Peace.
