TedM's post is in this thread.

I think that TedM actually meant what follows in that sentence: the allegedly huge amount of "information" about Jesus. But the same question would arise, is there any correlation between the amount of information and its truthiness?

Is there a reason for a separate thread on this?

Well, what Ted said reminded me that fundies (I know that Ted is not a fundie) sometimes brag about how many copies of manuscripts we have today. I was hoping to get some discussions going about that issue, and about the issue of the importance of multiple Gospels as opposed to one Gospel.

If you wish to transfer what I have said in this thread to the other thread, that is fine with me, but I would prefer that you allow this thread to continue.

The Bible is the most published book in the world, they also say. It's irrelevant, of course.

Numbers become important for information if sources vary as well. If all Chinese wrote on a piece of paper "Communism is the most successful political system of all." this statement would count as one source even if it were paraphrased in millions of ways.
