In the NT, Jesus was NOT crucified for tax dodging and trying to incite a riot. You have ZERO, NIL, NONE, NO sources to show that a character called Jesus of Nazareth lived and was crucified for anything.

You MUST, MUST present sources of antiquity or will continually be labeled as an Inventor.

Outhouse, You are an INVENTOR.

Supernatural elements were in the Jesus story from the VERY START. You have ZERO, NIL, NONE, NO stories about Jesus WITHOUT supernatural elements.

Do you or do you not believe and accept the premise that a MAN commonly known and identified as 'Jesus' died on a cross?
Nope

Joshua died on a cross after starting a stink in the temple. Not the son of god, not a deity pf any kind.

A Galilean jew who lived a life below that of a common peasant, eeking out survival by teaching and healing for food scaps who was heavily influenced by the zealots around him who originated from Galilee

as a matter of fact, most scholars claim that is historical based on the evidence in scripture we were left with. I agree

You are an inventor. You are inventing Fables from your imagination.

There are Zero, NONE, NIL, NO sources of antiquity that state Jesus of Nazareth was crucified AFTER starting a "stink in the Temple".

You INVENT and Believe your own inventions.

And talking snakes is not mythology?

And I suppose they are also looking for a piece of the ark on top of mount Ararat?

And did you know that scholars are scholars because they do not know?

So John Winford, You actually think that this 'Joshua' was God incarnate? Was able to walk on water, and calm the sea? And raise three days dead bodies from the grave? And left earth by levitating up into a cloud while 500 witnesses looked on?

I am well aware of what you have written in previous threads John. Will I need to quote you from those threads? Or will you choose to be honest?

I'll ask you again;

John Winford, it has been your position and view, one that you have stated hundreds of times here, that Jesus was a real man whom was crucified by the Romans for being a tax resistor and causing a riot in the Temple.

Has that not been your stated position?

Don't even bother with quibbling about the name being this or that. In your previous posts which I will quote if necessary, you have consistently employed the name 'Jesus' and have stated on numerous occasions with various phrasings that the MAN Jesus was crucified for being a tax resistor and causing a riot in the Temple.
You know it. I know it. And anyone the least bit familiar with you posts here are well aware that you have been playing that one string banjo for months.

Me personally? Not a chance. He was only a man.

Sorry that you feel that way, have you read any Crossan? Borg? Reed? Meyers? Ehrman? Sanders?

Because they have been my sources.

Are you making a direct statement that all mythology is devoid of historical facts?

I have the answers in total, and there is no mystery abdout Noah legend. It does originate from the Sumerian epic of Ziusudra which has a attested flood from 2900 BC on the Euphrates, and a king from the "kings list"

So no, im not looking for a mythical ark. But make no mistake. There was a flood, and probably a man who went down the river on a barge with goods on it who did make a animal sacrifice upon survival.

You will have to explain this one if you want a rational answer.

Yes.

For example, it is a fact that humans die, but the invention of resurrection is not based on the fact, whether historical or not, that men and women die.

For example, it is a fact that it rains, but the invention of a god talking to a human etc is not based on the fact, whether historical or not, that sometimes there is extensive flood.

The speed of the death on the cross points to a made up story to fit with the chosen theme.

One wonders how the story fits the chosen theme.
