Default The Gnostic Paul - Elaine Pagels

The Gnostic Paul - Elaine Pagels

Anyone read this and has a review? I find the idea that Paul may have been gnostic interesting.

Would you recommend, not recommend?

Thanks in advance.

The book is The Gnostic Paul: Gnostic Exegesis of the Pauline Letters (or via: amazon.co.uk). It's been a while since I read it, but I think it is a worthwhile book. Note that Pagels carefully does NOT say that Paul might have been a Gnostic. The book is about how later Gnostics (esp. Valentinius) used Paul's letters.
