Default Thing about killing Jesus...

Not sure where this goes, so feel free to move it around. With all this stuff about "Jews killing Jesus" stuff leading to anti-semitism, I get pretty confused. People make it seem like it is a bad thing. Wasn't Jesus's death supposed to be a good thing?

Good point.

"Gee, thanks a lot, darn Jews, now we are stuck with eternal salvation in Christ!"

LOL! That is one of the finest summations of the irony of anti-semitism I've ever read.

What makes me even more confused is the idea that Jesus died...

Jesus Christ in a chicken basket, he had , like, a 4th degree coma for less then 45 hours and now he's live and kickin up in the clouds(supposedly)... and has been for the 2000 years (supposedly).

What exactly was the biggest sacrifice? "well, duh, he gave his life for us"

Yeah, for a day and a half...big. deal .

Hey, cut the freakin Lord some slack willya. It totally screwed up his weekend, OK. Plus, it wasn't just any old weekend - it was Easter for crying out loud. I mean, he couldn't even spend time at home with his family hunting eggs, cos they're all out looking for him, hunting a corpse. And, with holes in his feet, he couldn't even spend Sunday relaxing with a spot of water-walking. Then to add insult to injury his buddy Tom disses him. Man, I'd be pissed off, too...

"Your birthday's on Christmas? That sucks dude!"

He had a troubled childhood. . . .

At least his childhood training in carpentry came in handy:

"Hey, that cross is crooked! Can't any of you guys use a square? And those nails...you'll need much larger nails than those. And where did you learn to hold a hammer? Here, let me show you how to properly use a hammer..."

Yeah, 3 days from late afternoon Friday until pre-dawn Sunday.

It's like the lyrics from that John Denver song, "well I spent a week there, one day..."
