IIDB BC&H FAQ: Can it be a living text?
Judging by the activity demonstrated in its thread (stickied--probably the problem) since my departure from IIDB in December, it seems like it is not a living text right now, but had life only to the extent that I breathed life into it.
Who would take up the relatively thankless task of compiling an index for IIDB's 2006 threads (I had done 2003-2005) unless people are reading, appreciating, and contributing as well? Is the problem one of over-determination (too top-heavy a description of the task), overwhelmingness (too much a sense of how big the task can become), or something as simple as lack of interest? Or is it somehow connected to the founder's absence? Could it be sticky blindness alone? If I were to commit over the next month to helping improve the FAQ, would you be with me? Would you ask your questions? |

Peter - it was your project. I've been too busy fighting brush fires.
I think if you came back to give the project some direction, you would find some support. |
