Default Crazy Idea - Take a Peek

I've had an idea.

My mind just goes when I think of all the people on this forum. I've always been a activist and I thought a group (or majority) effort toward something would be really great, actually do something. I was thinking about what could make an impact that everyone could help with and I was musing at the same time on intresting projects as a writer for myself in the future. I've been reading alot of Nietzsche lately and have found his psychoanalysis of the Bible and christianity really intresting.

So (a few minutes ago) I thought that a really intresting writing debut would be a hostile psychology rendering of the bible*. I even started out a rough-rough draft (I do this alot and sometimes ideas catch on, sometimes they don't),

I, Bible: A Short Psychological Treatment of the Bible in the Vein of Nietzsche in the form of Narrative

Introduction
-----------------------------------
Always mentioned at the top of every book list, at the height of any tabulation of morality, as the chief record of history, as the grim and obnoxious antithesis of every scientific thesis, as a legal code and as the excuse for just about every action participated in by the theist, the Bible has been since it was published and is now a legacy, a mark and a law. What a venerable and strange subject we have here before us, one of the most anxious, one of the most devious, one of the most quiet, one of the most visionary... A leader of a cult of visions, in fact, many a cult. Large cults too. Charisma must be an ingredient in this enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in obscure and face-value ridiculous stories. The truth of that is merely determined by the myriad corpses weighed down by seas of crosses, and the myriad walking bodies who wear such around their necks, as if an anchor to keep a adherent close to the grounding of morality professed in the book. But enough of the spawn of the beast, let us find the name, the number and the mark, so that we may determine just what sort of character this confusion is, and if it meets with its purported description, or if it fails to do so.
We shall allow the Bible to tells its own story, and after, when I have proceeded to psychoanalyze the subject I will verify its suspicious story as it narrated to me.

anyway, then I scrapped that, because it seemed boring and I had no stomach for rewriting the introduction. But I dreamed bigger and thought, wouldn't it be cool, if I could retranslate the entire bible in a language and demenour, in a voice where the book, as a singular person, describes the motivations of self-appeasement and delusion behind the book, whilst describing its conceited metaphysics in a way finally exposing the contradictions, and showing every part, every character, as a reaction against life, as a reinforcement of nihilism of life? A admittance of the bible, a translation and a confession of its real psychology, as seen by Nietzshe in such works as Beyond Good and Evil and Der Antichrist, wouldn't this wield a greater force than any philosophy piece? A Novel, or a Memoir, a Narrative to reconcile the bible with reality, a painful exposure of the criminal behind the whitewashed bars that so dazzle the adherent he thinks he sees a open door?

Let him speak.

But I could not do this, one simple thought about the bible's length and complexity, about my lack of desire to spend a year or two doing this.

Even five pages per book was a three month essay.

I quickly rejected the idea, great though it seemed.

Then I thought, perhaps naively, perhaps tinged with brilliance, that this board had more utterly lost writers ready for single-minded collaboration than the Rove team at the white house. That year becomes a couple of months, and for a equally long tome, not just a 100 page pamphlet.

A small sticky collaberation thread and a anti-bible, A ANTI-BIBLE! A illuminated bible, a confessional book, could be disseminated around the web, perhaps more subtlely and easily dissolving the position of atheism (through positing the fallacy of the illusions of Christianity through its unjust motivations) among a hefty internet crowd.

Four men per book, with a twelve man council (hehe)? It is easy to produce a Anti-bible with so many writers. A regulated diversity would add so many different negations of the bible, the more authors the more feeling and concentration put in.

Now, this may seem a little lame. But it would be fun to see if Infidels posters can concert themselves and create something. It may produce a really cool feature for people to view who are not used to critising the bible or who want to reinforce their atheism/agnostism.

There is such an extensive list of reasons:
  • The Challenge of Concerting A Large Amount of Posters to Make One Single Writing Work, "Post" as it Were. Keep in mind not everyone has to paticipate, I doubt if more than 2% would need to participate to get it done quickly. Side's not everyone is an atheist or someone who enjoys writing.
  • The oppurtunity to create a nice internet feature, concept.
  • An Oppurtunity to get familiar with the enemy...
  • An Oppurtunity to show off your writing dramatics
  • To order people around.
  • To do something when all the threads are about women's rights
*Using King James Version, as on Bartleby.com everyone uses it for scholarly research.
