Default ABC TV and new Moses movie

I just watched ABC TV’s 2 part 10 Commandments movie.
The movie was filled with apologetic attempts to justify many difficult passages but even so by the end of the movie it was clear that Moses should have been tried for war crimes.

I was thinking about how the Bible is layered and how scribes and editors added and subtracted from the Bible over the years. This movie as a retelling of the story provides us with an interesting model of how and why these changes were made.

One strange addition to the story is that Moses has an Egyptian brother who can’t bring himself to throwing a spear through Moses (what a terrible mistake).

For those of you out there who saw this awful movie …. What strange and interesting additions and subtractions from the Bible story did you see?

Moses' Jewish father seemed exceptionally well educated and well spoken for a slave....

There doesn't seem to be any scriptural support for the scene where Moses is taken to the home of his real parents, and where they show him the tomb of Joseph. In fact, There are no details at all about the childhood of Moses in the book of Exodus. Someone correct if it's somewhere else that I've forgotten.

It would seem that Godly Jewish children in Egypt just kinda disappear for awhile...

I'm watching it right now.

It's a movie. Of course they add, remove, and change things. Doesn't make much difference to me.

Stupid xenophobic synchonization! Their mouths are not moving well with the German.
