Default Gospel of Matthew in the Second Century

Arthur J Bellinzoni, 'The Gospel of Matthew in the Second Century', Second Century 9 (1992) 197- 258

Anyone know where I can obtain this article? Even a pay site. I really want it but am coming up short in all my searches (JStor, Ebsco, Google Scholar, Internet Journal Cites) etc.

Thanks,
Vinnie

You are certainly not going to find it online. I figure your best chance is the Yale University Divinity School Library on the Yale campus, if you can access the stacks. Start here:

Thanks. I sent them a message. Yale isn't too far and there is a bar called The Bar right next to it and they have some of the best pizza in the world and Shock Top Draft so I would like nothing better than to take another trip down there

Belizoni is a fellow of the Jesus Project. You might try to contact him directly.

Second Century seems have become incorporated into The Journal of Early Christian Studies - but vol 1 of that Journal online is from 1993, and earlier issues do not seem to be included. Still, they might be able to help you, or refer you to a library.

I saw both of those sites and noticed that that SC seems to have been included in J. Early Christian Studies. There is actually an article in the II library that referenced the article as such and that is how I figured it out. I was happy when I figured I could purchase it from Muse but alas, as you wrote, starts in 1993.

Once I hear back from Yale I'll email Muse and the Jesus Project if I have no luck.

I did click on the contact at that site as well but its snail mail:

The Jesus Project
Center for Inquiry
P.O. Box 741
Amherst, NY 14226
(716) 636-4869 ex. 308

That will be my last line of search...I should probably ask the author of the article on II library...have to go dig it up...

Sweet! I can't even find it on ILL. Where are you getting it from? And can you do an electronic delivery? That is usually what I do when ILL something or access it at Jstor. I have about 260 articles in my pdf folder now....

I have no idea where it's gonna come from (the library handles that on their end), but I do have electronic delivery. Typically, requests I make are filled in a day or two, but the obscurity of the journal (i'd never heard of it until now) might stretch that out some.
