But when was this story developed given that it references Simon Magus? The second century CE. Which is the point of the OP.

Do we at least all agree that Acts got its information about Felix and Drusilla the Jewish princess from Josephus?

You aren't arguing that the Simon Magus story didn't happen, you're arguing that because it didn't happen it was inserted by Christian writers (for shits and giggles?) and that because ONE BIT of Josephus is an interpolation, ALL OF IT must have been written by Christians at a later time. I'm sorry that you don't see why some people would find that last bit to be completely insane. The fact that it has now been brought to my attention that you wrote a book related to this idea on a topic that is equally specious and absurd, and that someone almost certainly dishonestly wrote fluff Amazon reviews of this book on your behalf that have inflated its rating shows that you aren't even slightly intellectually honest. If you actually faked a positive review by Robert Price then that puts you in a pretty low category. I suppose I should go have a look at the Simon Magus passage in Josephus to see if the author wrote it in such a way as to indicate he actually BELIEVED the "magic love potions" worked. |

The problem is that you aren't in a position to criticize a theory that you don't understand. |
