if god slew the first born of all egypt why didn't Ramses die? does anyone have the answer or is just another unanswered question?

The Bible doesn't say it was Rameses. It just calls him "Pharaoh." There's sort of a tradition that it was Rameses II based on a reference in Exodus to the Israelites bulding the city named after him but Kings says the Exodus happened 200 years before Rameses II was born (yes, the Bible contradicts itself, what a surprise).

Anyway, nothing in Exodus says that "Pharaoh" was a first born son or that he was named Rameses. That's just the name they gave him in the movie. As I recall, that movie also transplanted Nefertiti into the reign of Rameses II and had Israelites building pyramids. Accuracy wasn't its strong point.

hi, thanks for clearing that up, i really didn't realise that point.

btw,i guess the roman soldier who put the spear into jesus would be on "schindlers list" for not erring on the side of life when the poor guy was dying slowly on the cross! regards, eddie

pardon me, do you have references? What Roman soldier?

Jesus survived the crucifixion. The soldier(s) who were brutal with Jesus was one man, Agrippa, the brother of Herodias. The soldiers that drew lots for Jesus' (borrowed) robe was Agrippa and he just flat out took it! Casting lots is not gambling and when Noah's son's cast lots to see who would win it was because Shem would win because he was Noah's oldest son, Ham and Japheth were his step-sons.

It's like we attacked Iraq because it was an Imminent Threat! whereas we already knew they were defenseless.
