Default Ha!

Quote:
An apocryphal gospel is an ancient writing that is not part of the Bible but claims to give testimony of Jesus’ life. The phrase “secret sayings of Jesus comes from the opening verses of the Gospel of Thomas, the gospel on which I will focus primarily. There are several other apocryphal gospels, including the so-called infancy gospels, the Gospel of Peter and others, but these are almost universally considered by scholars as myth and inauthentic because of their wild and fantastic miracle stories. Unlike the miracles of the canonical gospels, the miracles of the infancy gospels are ridiculous and purposeless.
So please tell me, the resurrection was neither meaningful nore wild nor ridiculous? And what was its purpose again? Huh? Forgive sins? I thought Yahweh didn't support human sacrifice. Oh well. Its funny how Christians won't apply extra-canonical standards to the canon. Funny, or hypocritical... Take your pick.

sorry, it was actually a little dishonest of me to post that alone, especially with that commentary, for the author actually goes into quit detail about gnostic gospels. However, in his work, the author is quite dishonest himself about what he deals with, so I feel less bad.
