Pretty damn good, especially for a half hour. They missed a lot of stuff. They talked about Josephus mentioning Jesus, but didn't point out that most serious scholars think that a lot of that passage is a later interpolation. They did make the point that it was written decades after the event. They made the religious Bible Scholar they interviewed look pretty stupid, too. Schermer was great he debunked the Bible pretty well.
I love the line about read the bible, it'll make more atheists. And remember: Elvis didn't do no drugs. SLD |

I think they did an excellent job on this episode (and not just because I agreed with them on the conclusion). It's too bad it was only 30 minutes. They could have done so much more with an hour or more.

I got a kick out of the sacreligious way they were treating the bibles. Throwing them over their soulders, etc. At one point they lit one on fire! I can't imagine how much flak they are going to get for this episode. :notworthy

Enjoyable, but oh too brief for such a worthy target. Maybe they could do a two hour special in the future or something. I have to say I was surprised by the "street interviews." A high percentage of the people they talked to viewed the Bible skeptically or downright said they didn't believe in it. I can tell you, they did NOT film this around here!

I just watched it today (off of suprnova, woot).
I thought it was great, but I would have liked more than two interviewees. I've never seen something so deliciously opinionated on TV... ever. They pulled out ALL the friggin stops. Defiently should have been a two hour special. |

I thought they could have elaborated on the ten commandments, like how they have virtually no relation to the modern legal system. And they were a bit soft on Josephus, as mentioned. Other than that they did pretty well with the little time they had.

Good, but way too short. There's way too much bullshit in the bible for a 30-minute show.
