My favourite is Egypt. Unas (also spelled Wenis) was the last king of the fifth dynasty. He reigned 2375-2345BC. The Flood happened about two-thirds into his reign. His people started building his pyramid and funerary complex at the beginning of his reign and continued until he died. (One rules was that you weren't allowed to finish a tomb in the life-time of the intended occupant.) Nobody seems to have noticed The Flood, even though it wiped them off the earth. They just went on building as if nothing had happened. Unas was followed by Teti I, who had married Iput, one of Unas's daughters. Straight away they started building Teti's pyramid and funerary complex. This is ten years after The Flood when the only people in the world were Noah and his sons and their wives and, presumably, some children under the age of ten. Teti reigned until 2323BC.

Although The Flood happened at this time, nobody seems to have noticed it and no one later remembered it. However there was one event that we remembered two thousand years later. The historian Manetho reported that Teti was assasinated by his bodyguard. Recent excavations in Teti's necropolis suggests this story is true. This was much more memorable than The Flood.

Yes, the record is pretty conclusive. You have an entire world wiped out by the flood, and yet the entire world does not notice! Neorask has only two options: admit that there is no outside evidence of the flood (outside of the Bible) or continue looking for real evidence (if the Bible is true, the evidence must be out there).

I presume then that you are going to follow in the footsteps of every other flood-believer by ignoring the fact that the Egyptians and Chinese took utterly no notice of the flood that supposedly destroyed their civilizations? I'd be most interested in your response to KeithHarwood's post.

What about the evidence that the events described in the bible did not actually happen? Should we just close our eyes and pretend it's not there?
