Inerrancy
If you were to make a list (preferrably a short one) of the absolute most erroneous Bible verses that cannot - under any rational circumstances - be explained, what would that list be and why?

If you are talking about the King James Version, number one would have to be the age of Ahaziah. II Kings and II Chronicles each describe his mother, grandfather, and father and father's age identically, yet one states he is 22 and the other says 42.
I have had apologists try to claim that either there were two men by that name or the same man became king twice. The second one doesn't work because each account also agrees that he reigned for a year and died. Of course, the easy explanation is a simple typo somewhere along the line, but that can't happen in an inerrant bible. :huh: |
