Default Appointed unto man once to die?

Hebrews 9:27 indicates that all men are to physically die once:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment"

The word "die" in Hebrews is clearly a physical and not spiritual or death; otherwise the phrase "but after this this the judgment” makes no sense. However, in 1 Cor. 15:51-52, Paul expects Jesus to return in his lifetime. Moreover, he expects some in his audience to NOT die a physical death:

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

Thus, 1 Cor. 15:51-51 and Hebrews 9:27 are contradictory.

Is there a fundamentist quibble that I have missed?
