The fact is that none of the facts support your view. The history of the Ezekiel claims are interesting...but as prophecies they fail, and only the most rabid literalists (like you and arnie and huguenot) are willing to defend "inerrancy" there...and in fact, only do so with underhanded tactics and sophomoric games. Take a look in the mirror for "self-delusion" and quit blaming others if you feel threatened by truth. |

The other thing to note is that it doesn't surprise me at all that arnoldo would cut/paste from someone else's work and not give proper attribution.

Oh, and the attack on the mainland did not take 13 years. The mainland was quickly steamrolled. What took 13 years was the failed siege of the island - that is the historical fact. Prophecy fails! :rolling: Quote:
Prophecy fails! :rolling: Quote:
1. Ezekiel names Nebuchadnezzar, not Alexander, as the person to destroy the city; 2. Not even Alexander destroyed Tyre fully; 3. Tyre recovered in less than 20 years and was a major power again. All of which contradict Ezekiel. Prophecy fails! :rolling: Quote:
Result? The city was not thrown into the sea; only the rubble from the mainland colonies was. Result? Prophecy fails! :rolling: |

Oh, and by the way: you've been asked about a dozen time to prove your claim that Nebuchadnezzar had no means to attack the island. For someone who runs like a coward every time that challenge comes up, you're in a poor position to be telling other people what history does or doesn't say. |

What's more, the Britannica citation says that the Phoenician town, for the most part, is under the present-day city. This contradicts Ezekiel, who claimed it would all be in the WATER. Prophecy fails! :rolling: |
