Now I think someone is thinking. It really does depend on what exactly we mean by "free," doesn't it?

I just get frustrated with Christians thinking that "God had to give us the choice to sin otherwise we wouldn't have free will..." is the answer to why there is misery and evil and all in the world. No, from the Christian's own Scripture, it is pretty obvious that God certainly could have made people that have "free" will, but without the choice to sin.

In fact - I have to say that I agree that my "will" would be far more free if I was freed from all sorts of inclinations, temptations, laziness, etc., etc.
