Where did the atheists of today come from? Bitter Moms and Dads?
I have often wondered why so many innocent male babies had to be killed by King Herod in order to ensure baby "Jesus" was taken out of the picture. I mean, how do you think the parents felt? Does anyone know how many, according to the fable, were killed?
Personally, I would have thought this "God" a horror figure and questioned the reality of it all. Perhaps these are the ancestors of atheists? Did "Jesus" come and die for their sins? I mean heck they were all two and under? Wasn't there a friendlier environment somewhere else on Earth at the time or even some other time? Surely all of those innocents didn't have to die, and weren't they killed by swords and bashing of heads? If "Jesus" were born in the United States, I doubt we would have had a president killing all male babies two and under. Did "Jesus" go and apologize to the parents when he was old enough? Surely "He" knew this had happened after all, isn't he "God"? Of course there are no accounts for this. Another  for this story Emeralds |

Hosea 11:1 pseudo-prophesy requires that God "called my son out of Egypt". Matthew is brazen about citing Jeremiah 31:15 in "explaining" the slaughter of the innocents. Rachel weeping for her children, who were no more. But it just didn't happen. Nobody records this as history and it could not possibly have escaped the attention of historians. Basucally it is a re-run of the old classic "Moses Escapes the Slaughter of the Innocents by Pharaoh". In order to satisfy the constraint of being born in Bethlehem, coming out of Egypt, being a Nazorean (or whatever), and preaching in Galilee, Matthew weaves this tale of Being born in Bethlehem, but needing to escape to Egypt to avoid the dramatic slaughter. Then we can have him come back and grow up in a town created as a consequence of translation clusterfu**. Naza-something. |

Herod was the Inquisitor who killed all those who were "from their mothers whom untimely ripped." These would not have been true Israelites and had guile in them. Now, what is a true Israelite and does that not imply that there can be untrue Israelites? So Herod was after the untrue Israelites that should never become King of Judea. Good move, I'd say.
