Q is an interesting topic. I think when you consider that Matthew and Luke were contemporaries of Mark and would have had the same information as he did i.e. the same traditions, the same eye witness testimonials written or otherwise etc. the redactive influence of a "Q" falls to the book of Mark, So I believe "Q" to be the book of Mark if you will and not some unnamed ,untitled entity that contributed to the gospels of GMatt or GLuke. The inescapable reference of Mark is shown in the other two, so this mysterious question of a "Q" is ludicrous in light of the inspired word of God as errant as it is.
Why don't scholars give GJohn more credit than they do? |
