These four quote, plus others that I didn't include, easily point to bullying.

If Joe's wrong -- which is entirely possible! -- teach the rest of us why and allow the people who come to this forum an opportunity make up our own minds based on scholarship.

Do you even read this thread? If you had clicked on the link that Toto supplied, it had the exact authors that Joe Atwill listed in the same format. The SAME. Joe plagiarized it right out of livius.

Nah, I know you're not a sock puppet. You still don't seem to be able to read.

Mod note: please knock of the name calling and the discussion of name calling. Similarly with accusations of sock-puppetry.

If you feel that a post has gone over the line, use the report post button.

Here is an image of the "christian fish symbol" (ex Medigo)

Joe's claims on another discussion board, which I did not bookmark
and cannot find again, related to coins issued by the two Flavian
emperors, upon which there appears to be "this fish symbol". Also,
there exist - accord9ng to Joe's claims - similar inscriptions somewhere
within the Flavian cemetry, or sarcopahagi.

I am unaware of any textual references from the literature tradition
mentioned by Joe. But Joe should obviously correct me if I cannot
recollect his claims perfectly.

Are you certain that this is a Christian symbol?

Let's see them. To my knowledge, no such coins exist. And BTW, there were 3 Flavian emperors.

What Flavian cemetary? And how old are the "inscriptions"?

Yes, he should. But he seems to have packed up and moved from here over to the Jesus Mysteries List -- where he is also being taken to task, and notably, by Earl D.

Or pisces, the astrological symbol used by many different groups in the Roman Empire, including Jews?

Of course not. As Toto commented, IMO probably related to "Pisces".
However the "christian bumper sticker" mentality would have it that
by some obscure means, which I, and perhaps you also, have never
seen explicated,
that such a "fish symbol" is associated with
"christianity".

I will post the pics of the coins when I find them again,
if Joe does not return to do so.

As I stated my position earlier ... I have not seen any reason
to associate the "pisces symbol" archeologically with
the presence of something new called "christianity".

He is wrong. It is not "possible", it is certain. Several posts are dealing with the fact that he is wrong, if only you want to learn. For him passover happened in August. This is the most stupid parallel. It is enough to read the texts without prejudice to agree with the stupidity. Hopefully everybody can read and understand the texts of Josephus. The gospel, that is a complete different matter.
