The Sources Chrétiennes are about to issue their 500th volume of their splendid series of patristic texts and (French) translations. To celebrate, they doing a sale of volumes at 50% off. This lasts until June.

You can order the volumes online through www.laprocure.com (simple and easy to use, and takes credit cards; minimum postal charge of 14 euros, tho) or www.alapage.com (which I've not tried).

Are there any specific recommendations of good buys? (I know they're all 50% off, but some are cheaper than others.)

Are there any works that are very hard to come by in English that would be good to have in French (ie. earliest sources, most interesting sources, etc.)?

Ah, that sort of exercise is something that you have to do for yourself! There's no way that I'm going through 400+ volumes to answer this one!

Of course we have a lot of English translations of these works online.

Hmm...ok. Well, I was mainly just hoping someone might know what sources are rare in English and might be good to get at such a good price. Otherwise, this sale will be a waste for me... Wish I knew something good to grab while there's a great deal.
