Satan is a mythological figure of a prosecuting angel for God who became demonised as time goes on. The earliest Jewish literature reflects Satan in this manner (The first chapter of Enoch, Job, etc...) but the further we move, with its final culmination in Christianity, he becomes the Devil that we know of him today. BTW - do you have any evidence that Satan = Serpent = Belial = Beelzebub = Apollyon = Abaddon?

Angel of the bottomless pit, prince of devils, etc. What evidence do you have that the Serpent, Satan, Belial, Beelzebub, Apollyon, and Abaddon are not one and the same?
