hmm...So your saying you would pick and choose what is historical out of the bible...seems illogical.

Nice...
Not really. Think Gone With the Wind. Lots of historically accurate stuff in there, but the story itself is fiction.

Yes, I see a trend.

1. You make an unsupported claim.
2. People don't accept it and tell you that you're wrong.
3. You expect others to disprove your claim, instead of you doing the necessary work to prove your claim is right.

It's called "shifting the burden of proof". It won't work around here.

and you even called me a liar when I lied about nothing. Everything that I had to say you said "so what?"
That's because you haven't (a) shown your claim to be true, and (b) demonstrated how it proves your point.

If you want to even beging to refute what I have to say, you have to show me evidence CONTRARY to every event that I described, which you did not do.
Flatly incorrect. He doesn't have any obligation to disprove; he isn't the one running around here tossing out claims. He who claims, has burden of proof. That would be YOU, poptart.

ALL the evidence is against it. ALL OF IT. There is NO evidence in favor of it. NONE. Now of course, it is possible that there could someday be some evidence, but are you asking us to believe something on that basis? Because in that case I'm trapped in Nigeria with $20,000, and need your help to transfer the money to the U.S.

No, actually it couldn't. There isn't enough water to flood the entire planet. The burden of proof is on you for any assertion you make. I accept the same burden for any assertion I make. So be very careful when making assertions!

No, actually, recent archeology seems to indicate that it didn't.

Jesus of Nazareth existed, you just want to question His Divinity, that is the only reason you even bring him up. The most central figure in Christendom. Go for it, it isn't going to get you any closer to watching Primordial Soup springing into LIFE.

Which I think it is good and all that He spends so much time catering to the ideas and what they think of him, when these same know it alls will be dead in a few short years. We all will be dead, so prepare to meet thy maker!!!! You can rest assured of that. You can prepare your worm food box just the way you like it. I'll just be in mine for a short while. A quick nap and back in action.
Patriarch: I just want to welcome you to IIDB. I can see I'm going to enjoy you a lot.

Little tip for you, one: I promise you that any subject you think you know a lot about, there is someone reading your post who knows a hell of a lot more than you. We know about the Council of Nicea. We know the early church had a meeting and a vote and decided what parts to leave in the bible and what parts to throw out, and that they did so solely on the basis of how they wanted to doctrine to end up. How does this strengthen your case?

In other words, you don't know that the future will be anything like the past by just observing the past. ASSUMING absolute uniformity is against this occurence. You can't KNOW that there could be uniformity b/c you would be able to see the future. It legislates the meaning instead of looking for it. You can make assumtions all you want from uniformity, but you are negating the scientific method in the very act.

All in all this site was obviously presuppositioned and makes a bunch of fallacious claims.
You misunderstood the quote. Read it again. This is what we would expect to see if there had been a flood. The fact that we don't indicates that there wasn't. Believe me, there is not a working geologist who believes in this flood. Why do you think that is? Anything to do with the evidence?
