Do'h! :banghead:

Well, I hope that the rest of my post is mildly informative. (I think I'm probably due another eyesight test, if I can find the opticians!)

Perhaps I can redeem myself with this.

EXODUS 20:5 "I the Lord am a jealous God, visitng the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation"

NOW COMPARE AND CONTRAST WITH:

EZEKIEL 18: 20" the son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son, the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself"

So what about all the poor innocents who were previously punished for their grandparents and their great grandparents sins?

See Joshua 7 for the story of the sin of Achan and the application of the Exodus punishment law.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5)

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5)

An accurate description of faith. :banghead:
