Paper Version of Skeptic's Bible
I am a fan of the Skeptic's Annotated Bible online. Yes, it has some inaccuracies but it is a useful starting point. My question is do you all think there would be a market for a paper version of something similiar to the S.A.B.?
What I have in mind is to publish the equivalent of your typical study bible, like the NIV Study Bible. But the annotations on the bottom of the page are skeptical in nature and point out and cross reference errors and inconsistenicies and such. It certainly would not replace the utility of the internet but it would be a convenient book people could bring with them. It would be a useful tool to have on hand when knowledgeable Christians try using the Bible as a tool to convert you. It would make a GREAT Christmas present I am certainly not planning on doing this myself as I don't have the resources or expertise but I am curious if you all think it would have a market. And if so, has such a book been published? |
