Hi Sven,
Yes, I agree that the skeptic kvetches like the "abandoned .. four threads" stuff would be better moved or moderated out of IIDB. However it was allowed in, so I responded with context, I really had no intention of getting into any of this stuff, I was enjoying the Nazareth and 1st-century Judaism threads. Quote:
Not IIDB, though, and I always appreciate the word of God and I should be better attuned to the verses and quotations from the Bible in my discussions. So if you don't want to read scripture verses, you will have to skip by my posts. Interestingly, one of the 'warnings' in my dossier (the main one of the previous couple of months before the suspension) was the discovery of the censored section, where I wasn't just informed that scriptures were censored, I was given the 'warning' for my 'action' ! 1Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear Shalom, Steven |

You can quote the Bible when discussing the quotes, or when bible quotes add to the discussion of something else, but just quoting the bible to drop a quote is just plain silly. |

However this is supposed to be a section open to allowing including full expression (sometimes too much, imho, as in the vulgarity that is allowed, which I often view as a type of atheist evangelism and of no value to dialog). So there is no such limitation in this BCH section of IIDB. And as a believer in the Bible as the word of God and the Messiahship of Jesus Christ the Bible is a part of my literary expression. You are welcome to politic with IIDB to change the rules to censor Bible quotes here, however unless that is done you can expect so see my literary Bible expression. If you want to stay on BCH and it concerns you I think there is an "Ignore" feature. Shalom, Steven |

Warnings are how they let you know you did something wrong. I've gotten a few myself for random things, it's not that big of a deal. Only when you repeatedly violate the rules there is a problem. From the lounge and secular lifestyles guidelines: Quote:

I agree with you. There should be no limitations on discussion, regardless of ones view. However, your posting of biblical quotes (for example, your post at 7:37am) adds nothing to the conversation. You're just dropping quotes, apparently, just to preach your faith to us and how much you love Jesus. That's great, I'm glad you like the bible and enjoy reading quotes, and I'm glad you have faith in Jesus. Really, whatever helps you is fine. However, it doesn't belong here. If you wanted to discuss the quotes, then great, start a new thread. Most people would consider your actions rude and in some cases inflammatory. Quote:
Sure, you may think that the rules are stacked against you, and they may well be. But you can work within them and give us your message in a way that makes everyone happy. |

[MOD] As was rightly pointed out, this is a discussion about moderation and therefore belongs elsewhere. Hence, punt..! Julian Moderator BC&H [/MOD] |

Since you're back on-line, go ahead with your: 1. Scholarly defenses of Ron Wyatt 2. Evidence of the changing speed of light 3. Explanation of "pierced" hands and feet 4. Demonstration that tetrarchs and ethnarchs were used interchangably. |
