Thallus again
I'm taking a bit of an interest in the fragments of Thallus. I know that Richard Carrier has two immense pages online on these, but I think it best to look at what Jacoby and Muller in the FGH say directly for myself. He does give bitmaps of 3 pages of Muller's commentary, which is good, but that's all.
Does anyone have access to either Section 256 of F. Jacoby's ''Fragmente der griechischen Historiker'' (1923--), or the corresponding section in Carolus Müller's ''Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum'' (1840--)? If so, any chance of a scan or photocopy? I don't know when I would be able to get to a library, you see. Many thanks, Roger Pearse roger_pearse (AT) yahoo.co.uk |

A PDF of the Müller section on Thallus is available on Christian Hospitality's Biblical Archives.

Thank you! I've got it. I don't think their hospitality is for non-US people -- my browser wouldn't connect to anything but to top page --, but luckily I was able to find a way around that.

I'd suprised if they were so technologically savvy as to exclude intentionally non-US people. (They're not G**gle.) Perhaps there's some sort of glitch or incompatibility on either their end or yours, or jointly.
