Reminds me of a cartoon of an executioner holding a head and saying "See, not a hair on his head is harmed" or something similar.

I've only heard it used that way. Carnis means flesh in Latin, thus reincarnation is the making again of the flesh. If you die and are reincarnated as a fish, then you're physically a fish, not spiritually. If you're resurrected, you're brought back, but it doesn't specify in the flesh or the spirit.
BTW Chris, I hope you do not believe that human beings can be reincarnated as a fish because that is Shirly Maclean Hollywood stuff.

You are the incarnate son of your father and the reincarnate son of your grandfather and so on until finally you are the incarnate son of God because your father and grandfather are incarnations of God without realizing it. So in the end no history is required to realize that we are the incarnation of God which is called Christ in our mythology.

Naturally the fish is also the body of Christ but the incarnation process does not grant realization to bastards and hence the fish will never be part of our lineage nor will we be part of theirs.

I do not believe in any sort of reincarnation/resurrection period.

I cannot remember anyone preaching, or any comedians like Dave Allen commenting on the clear statement here that alcohol is available in heaven.

Has Dionysus more to do with what is going on here than we realise?

The statement makes it quite obvious that the crucifixion was a mental journey and also that Jesus knew beforehand that he would recall the apostles into the upper room where heaven was at.

So then, why should there be no alcohol in heaven if all that happens is a change of vision to perceive the new Heaven and Earth.
