And that's some sort of victory? I'm glad you've relieved me of the resposibily of taking you seriously anymore.

I suppose it's too unlikely that they are going to include the proof of virginity found in the Infancy Gospel of James: (http://www.gospels.net/translations/...anslation.html)

And the midwife cried out and said, "How great this day is for me, for I have seen this new miracle."

(18) And the midwife departed from the cave and met Salome and said to her, "Salome, Salome, I have to describe this new miracle for you. A virgin has given birth, although her body does not allow it."

(19) And Salome said, "As the Lord my God lives, unless I insert my finger and investigate her, I will not believe that a virgin has given birth."

Chapter 20 (1) And the midwife went in and said, "Mary, position yourself, for not a small test concerning you is about to take place."

(2) When Mary heard these things, she positioned herself. And Salome inserted her finger into her body.

(3) And Salome cried out and said, "Woe for my lawlessness and the unbelief that made me test the living God. Look, my hand is falling away from me and being consumed in fire."

It would make it a completely different genre of film...

I can understand how Christians and Muslims might despise atheists and secular humanists (another sect that you have claimed to be the most despised group. ). And frankly I could care less.

What I have a difficult time fathoming is why you, a Wiccan, would despise us. Don't you realize that secularists like us are the reason that you can openly practice your faith in America? Secular organizations like the ACLU have fought tooth-and-nail for the right of Wiccans and other minority sects to be classified as religions. What do you think would happen to you in a Christian or Muslim theocracy?

If approached the right way, this movie could be a potentially effective tool in showing how the bible is errant. Many christians I know have no idea that the bible contradicts in any way because they haven't read through it critically. And when you try and tell them about it, they don't want to hear it so they glaze their eyes over and it goes in one ear and out the other.

I'm sure there will be many well written critiques on this film exposing the obvious flaws in accuracy according to the stories in the bible. Hopefully some christians, who haven't really read the birth accounts, will see this and dig into those stories and see for themselves how they contradict. This trailer for this film claims it is a true story. The way the story is portayed in the trailer, it is a brand new third story made up of bits and pieces of the two independent stories in the bible. How can it be advertised as a true story?

Yes, I have been thinking about this and contemplating a rebuttal to the movie already.

I hope you realise that if a worlwide poll was done on whether the Nativity stories are true, it may be polled as fiction.

Remember there is the Middle East, including Israel, China, the most populous country in the world, North Africa and India, just to name a few who may poll the Nativity stories as fiction.

And, my friend Galileo, the astronomer, was despised because the 'polls' claimed the earth was flat.

A mishmash. King Herod ordering a Roman census, Roman soldiers doing King Herod's bidding, etc.

It has been advertised in some British papers. One of the adverts descibed it as Bilbically accurate, AND historically authentic!

After that, squaring the circle should be child's play!!
