Most Accurate OT??
Hey guys,
What's the most accurate Old Testament. I used to think it was the JPS or Artscroll (Stone), but I'm wondering now if the OT has been de-christenized by rabbis, rather than just just the OT being christenized by jesuits. If I want to know what the original hebrew really meant, short of learning biblical hebrew myself, which has the most accurate translation of the OT? NRSV? JPS? NIV? Thanks. --Dan |

How about The Holy Bible, King James Version, Edition 1611?, that's my favorite!

If it matters, read multiple versions. If they contradict, investigate.

Thanks! I didn't mean to come off so abrasive, before; I just saw it as an opportunity to pick the brain of one who is far better informed than I.
