To be honest, I linked to the site for my own sanity. I wanted independent confirmation that the site was the home of the most ignorant, stupid, bunch of posters ever. Doctor Doom is some kind of idiot, (who happens to believe he's got his place booked at the right hand side of god), who's nasty with it.

I just can't help going over there, seeing a stupid argument and then posting. I never get anywhere with them because there's no capability for critical thinking over there. I really have to stop going over there.

I used to post there, and yes, Doctor Doom is a true piece of work. In a way, that made it even more enjoyable to hand him his ass with the utmost politeness and clarity.

Well as I said earlier I got banned from there. However they only blocked my work ip address from the website. I can still get there from home so eventually I will be able to get a new user name there.

If one of the morons is lurking here (they know I'm in iidb I used the name stout drinker there and someone googled it and put my info up on their site) I wonder if they will ban my home ip. Time will tell.

For a few seconds I felt kind of bad about being a pest on their site. It is akin to picking on a mentally handicapped person, however given how nasty the people are its rather fun to laugh at their idiocy.

GOOD, as long as they were willing to try to engage us. Honestly, what's wrong with reaching out? Even if somebody's confused, a good effort is a positive act.

Whoa, I was just over there.

I suppose their idea of engagement is spitting contempt. Yeesh. Talk about hyper-defensiveness. You just cannot win with these guys.

My god, these guys are pretending to civil eloquence but are yammering attack dogs.

My self-esteem has been awfully low recently, but it's hard not to feel like an arrogant jerk when I see myself standing head and shoulders above so many people.

I know all too well freeconservatives.com. I post there under 'nyahsee?' and can say that these people have driven me from being mostly moderate on political issues to being fairly liberal.

In the begining I tried to use logic to show them the problems inherent in answering the question of creation with certainty, but they refused to listen and then repeated a whole bunch of bullshit.

Oh well, I've been thinking about getting myself banned, but I can't think of any way that seems fitting. I'll take suggestions.-NQ-

Hybrid Angel was banned there after about 20 posts. He just factually showed how they were full of shit. He was nice but I guess someone couldn't refute he said so was banned.

I was banned for talking about how Sodom and Gomorrah justifies a girl getting liquored up and having her father impregnate her and compared that to West Virginia values. (my apologies to any W Virginians here). However in my first week there I was comparing Jerry Falwell to the taliban but they let me stay. Go Figure It really doesn't take much to do, it just depends on how moody the administrator is (a lovely lady named War Lady) She is extremely patriotic since she has a number of flags and a banner saying that she supports the troops. When I return I will be nothing but nice to the people and see how long it takes.

The funny thing is most of my life I was definately 'right of center' and I'm still fairly conservative in my outlook. Basically I'm a libertarian, socially liberal, economically conservative (balanced budgets), and a buchanan style isolationist. That makes me for the current situation prefer democrats but its far from written in stone. To those people though I am a raving leftist and supported of islamo fascism.

In a discussion about atheism one of the regulars there said that atheists desire to establish an 'atheistic theocracy'. Interesting bunch of people. Their paranoia is really amusing.

 ...errrr ...wait.... :rolling:

(no apologies needed, but you meant Arkansas, right?)

I've been pecking here and there at FC. First thing they did was announce my membership here. I called them on it because I refused to hit and run. I am trying to make it worthwhile...I know, I know ...but there are a few people there who genuinely respond to answers and criticisms. I have extended myself in a capacity as a Biblical Scholar there(hey, I do have a BA in that shit you know), and its obvious this agnostic has read and studied the Bible WAY more than some of those jerks... but they're not all that way. However, expect to be welcomed in auto-troll mode. I'll be there awhile just to prove I'm not a troll. And since I don't really have public opinions about things I treat as academic pursuits, their gonna have a hard time saying I'm nasty and ban-worthy.

It is funny though, you see alot of "atheists are this, or atheists do this" broad-brushing...kind of reminds me of here on occassion. Of course, both are wrong and not fair to the individual. But it does give me an open opportunity to call them on their prejudices and misconceptions.

" Hey, black guys are criminals!"
" How do you know that?"
" Well, I used to work with a black guy, and he was a criminal. So black guys must be criminals."
" Gathered all this from one black guy, did ya? Real thorough of ya."
" Thanks, I pride myself in my fairness and intellect."

[replace "black guy" with "atheist", and "criminal" with "evil\stupid\wrong"]

Free advice to all, if you're going to go there, ignore Doom. He's like a bitter old parapalegic dirty old man type with a nasty attitude and no sense of what it is to act like a descent person, let alone as a barley passable Christian. Last time I saw him say something, it was too the effect that "being Christian has nothing to do with acting like Christ." Yeah, if there's a Hell, we're keeping that guy company.

WWJD? Not emulate a evil totalitarian comic book character, I'll tell you that.

Actually, he didn't get into much of a debate at all. I'm not sure why he was banned to be honest. I can look into it.

The Falwell comment did raise eyebrows. The slam at West Virginians (and the extremely rude way in which the post was worded) pretty much sealed the deal.

There are several administrators, and I know for a fact that Warlady was not the one that banned you.

If it were up to me, I would rather establish a theistic atheocracy.
