So retroactive shoehorning is more valid than vaticinium ex eventu?

ChairmanMeow, welcome to IIDB. Did you get your name from the nickname depository? It was always my favourite one. (closely followed by Karl Barx)

You cannot prove that these prohecies were written after or that they are ambigious. The prophecy concerning Rome in Daniel kills that lie that this book was written after....and Israel? well turn on the television and behold with your own eyes. Critics have lost....indeed even before they actually began. God will not go away...even if you delude yourselves.

Haha, karl barx. I actually got this nickname from someone in one of my uni labs. She named her soon-to-be-dissected cat "Chairman Meow."

If Jesus had predicted when and where some natural disasters would occur, very few people would have disputed that he could predict the future.

In your naivity, you are not aware that a being's character is much more important than his power is. Even if a being is able to predict the future, if he always makes disputable prophecies, which needlessly invite dissent instead of discourage dissent, that would mean that he has poor character. Since the Bible implies that God has good character, obviously, the God of the Bible does not exist.

If you had been taken as a baby to Iran, and had been raised by Muslim parents, you would probably be a Muslim today. Why is that? Obviously, because it is not wanting to know the truth that determines whether or not a person becomes a Christian, but at least primarily what worldview a person's parents have, and where a person lives.

Since you know that you are not a good debater, you frequently avoid directly replying to my arguments. That is very good for skepticism because most people interpret evasiveness as weakness.

One wonders to what extent you will go to embarrass yourself more than you already have.

Why do you try and make God look like an ignoramus? He is NOT!

God does not speak to anyone through prophecy. He is BEYOND that means. If you really believe God Himself wrote these pages, why does it not give the exact day and time down to the very second? This is very well in the means of God and it is like NOTHING to him. Why is it so vague?

To think God would make a prophecy extremely vague, when he could've fulfilled it right down to the letter with EXACT WORDING, is making God out to be a fool.

God is not a fool. You have been deceived.

4. Legs of iron
5. Toes mixed with iron and clay

Daniel says these metals in chronological order represents 4 kingdoms that would rise upon the earth, he tells Nebby that it starts with his kingdom.
As noted above, and here, the book of daniel itself has many historical as well as possible authorship problems, so I wouldn't consider it a valid source for such matters.

Saying that the only kingdom to arise after divided rome is "the kingdom of Christ" doesn't make any sense. There have been plenty of unrelated, yet significant "kingdoms" between then and now. The Aztec Empire, The Kingdom of England, The Kingdom of Denmark, and plenty others.

You are clearly suffering from confirmation bias here. You also seem to be using the tried and true method of prophecy, the law of large numbers! As long as one in a million prophecies come true, you're right! Anything that isn't true can just be assumed to happen in the future.

"REMEMBER THE FORMER THINGS OF OLD: FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NONE LIKE ME, DECALARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, AND FROM ANCIENT TIMES THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT YET DONE, SAYING MY COUNSEL SHALL STAND, AND I WILL DO ALL MY PLEASURE."----GOD

The text makes it clear (as well as fulfillment) that God proves Himself by Prophesy. There is no other belief system with this kind of evidence....I know not one.
I go out on a limb here and say Islam has just as many "fulfilled" prophecies as Christianity.
You do know that prophecy shows that no nation or powers will rise above the European powers (Referring to Daniel's prediction of the 4th). The Aztec empire was no where near above Europe (in fact they conquered the aztecs) Denmark and England are powers that came out from the Holy Roman Empire.....weak areguments. Man you guys aint got nothing do you? (ofcourse you dont because you cannot turn a lie into truth).

I think you completely misunderstood me -- you may want to brush up on your Logic/Philosophy 101 .

Your arguments are based on an appeal to emotion, specifically wishful thinking -- you can fit the prophecies in the bible to match whatever you wish to be true. See this for an example.

But the book of Daniel was written after Daniel supposedly lived. And the prophecies you wrote about above have little to nothing to do with Jesus.

Interestingly, the Jews don't even really consider Daniel to be a prohpet. The Tanakh places the book of Daniel in Writings, not in the Prophets section.

And give me a specific world prophecy from the Quran.
I provided a link twice that has several prophecies of Muhammad. Several of those are of the same type of 'prophecies' you wrote of in your OP here: kingdoms and conquests to come.

Where did you learn grammar? "...these prophecies...does not" ?? Fail.

Anyways, the prophecies of Muhammad appear to be far more specific than the ones you provided from Daniel, eg:

"Surely, Constantinople (Istanbul) will be conquered (by my community); how blessed the commander who will conquer it, and how blessed his army."

Muslims claim that Muhammad foretold of the fall of Constantinople to the Muslims, which happened in 1453, 800 years after Muhammad.

LOL. And I very well do not. I look at both Judeo-Christian and Islamic prophecy of being about equal in value in proving their claims: relatively worthless.
