Modern Israel
Greetings,
I always hear christians say that the bible predicted the formation of modern israel, and then try to use that to confirm christianity as the truth but I just don't see it. Could you please provide me with some links... preferably skeptical ones regarding this? I'm an atheist but I like to consider myself open minded so I'm allowing a friend to give me a pro biblical prophecy book that specifically deals with modern israel and so I was wondering if anyone could find me some skeptical links so that I may compare the two. Also, I still don't see what would be so remarkable about the prophecy even IF it was made. Considering every american president in the 20th century had been christian, and that many western leaders were also christian, it would seem that the prophecy would have been self fullfilled. Still though I'm rather interested in reading some skeptical opinions about this, and some links would be great. It seems my entire town is trying to "save me" before I go off to college and thus far I have done quite well in rebutting their apologetics but this certain area is a weakness of mine so I'd be greatful for any help, thanks. |
