What you are talking about is the Garden of Eden. Whether or not the Garden of Eden existed or not is nothing to do with whether or not there is a diety.

Einstein believed there is not such thing as time and space The ancient religions believe the same thing.

So the dilema remains the same. It is equally right to say that God does or does not exist or that the energy or its earlier equivalent was always there, ie never began.

Tell that to the fundamentalists.

omnibenevolent - all good...rather you prefer an other definition?
No, that'll do. But how does it follow that this particular attribute (i.e., 'all-good') of God demands that he be good equally and indiscriminately to all?

Strangely enough, some Christians can't even settle on the origin of Satan. The story goes that he tried to reach God's throne, right?

The verses that they point at to try to prove it actually refer to a king who was struck down to ashes. Satan is depicted as alive and kicking today.

Just thought I would point that out. I have no stance in this argument, so I'll remove myself before I get going to my bad side.

The hypothesis then, I guess, that someone who is all good wouldn't allow non-good to happen. It's self defeating. If someone painted the whole world blue, how would the color red get in there, assuming there were no colors to begin with.

Even supposing that Adam somehow knew right from wrong before he ate, as was stated earlier, placing the tree of G&E in the center and making it attractive and placing him in this garden with a tempter, is what we (evil unjust humans) would call entrapment. Add to this the fact that the flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone had already fallen for the fruit and had apparently not died.
