Strangely enough, some Christians can't even settle on the origin of Satan. The story goes that he tried to reach God's throne, right?
The verses that they point at to try to prove it actually refer to a king who was struck down to ashes. Satan is depicted as alive and kicking today. Even supposing that Adam somehow knew right from wrong before he ate, as was stated earlier, placing the tree of G&E in the center and making it attractive and placing him in this garden with a tempter, is what we (evil unjust humans) would call entrapment. Add to this the fact that the flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone had already fallen for the fruit and had apparently not died.
