Before I respond, have you read the other texts? Start with the Epistle of Barnabas. The bit condeming abortion would be hard to explain as not "adding" anything!
Yeah, some, but, quantitatively, gay folks still get married, too...etc, etc, etc...imagine the impact of the last few verses of the Thomas Gospel!!!... back to my point...

O.K. assuming that takes care of the contradiction between 2 Samuel and 1 Chron. (for the point of argument)

What about the contradiction between 1 Chron. 21 and the third account of the census at 1 Chron 27:24?

Oh, the contradiction's still there. It doesn't "take care" of it, it just gives a reasonable explanation as to how it came to be.

I don't doubt you - that explains a lot about Job, actually - but I've not heard this before detail before. Is there a source for this you could direct me to?

Remember that in evangelical and Messianic Jewish thought the saved person is considered righteous because the sacrifice of Christ is to applied to cover their debt. Thus whether or not the person sins is held to be irrelevant as that sin is covered over by this legal fiction.

Note that being considered righteous and being righteous are two different things; the first entails a legal standing whereas the second entails some sort of existential and ontological quality.
