sorry deggert, I was being facetious when I called you a heretic.

Good point about Ha-SaTaN, though.

No, YOU wake up and read. It's all obviously a load of crap. Burning bush? Sticks turning into snakes? withering fig trees? water into wine? Raising oneself from the dead, then conveniently disappearing? Well, not actually even doing it, just a story about it. C'mon, it's retarded. You're going to die one day, and that's it. No immortality for you. No heaven, no hell, just this life, and that's it. Don't waste your one and only life believing some crap and living in fear of hell or waiting for some reward that's never coming just because some multi-thousand year old book of mythology makes these claims.

Huh, sounds like the Silent Bob philosphy of Jesus

Edited to add: lest this be taken the wrong way, i'm actually being serious here. It sounds like Kevin Smith's take on Christianity and Jesus, which was a huge part of the basis for his movie Dogma

Guess what has kept the Bible in print? ding ding ding ding Yepp! You guessed it....that futile thing created by mankind called religion.

I'm afraid you're the one who has been mislead. And by the way, "wake up before it's too late" for what? Your god should have all the time in the world, right?

By the way, capitalizing "He" and "His" is not even practiced by modern theologians, much less practicioners of grammar.

Question Purpose or wasting time ?

Many answers within that Book, the creation of earth's form, land in one piece. When the land was split up, and why. The first murder to the last, the spirit world to their agendas. The start of every religion to their demise, throughout the whole Book explains mankinds futile attempts to find a shortcut to Heaven. They are still out in space looking for it, it has to be somewhere? Read it for what it is, or what one wishes it to be, but read it. Religion is what messes up mankind, their interpertation that they can join a group and claim they have found the way (their shortcut) the bait to suck mankind in. God doesn't say find a shortcut, He does say, look up, look around, look at each other, He's everywhere. He never said have fun killing eachother over religion. He never said Americans have more rights to live than Iraqis. Religion claims Christ death was all a plan, that's not what it says, If one actually reads between the lines and not really between the lines, actually define what is being said it explains a whole different picture then what they are selling us through religion. So one must ask why would they mislead us??? Are we here by accidental explosion in some dark hole in space or is there a purpose ??? If it was just an explosion and no purpose then we are all wasting time talking about any of it, and certainly wasting time trying to beat it by living. Dan

Wink

Just was is mankinds complaint against God , other than what is presented through various religions, remove the religions the complaints are gone. Every culture from the beginning of time has believed in a higher power and has given it various names, were they actually all seeing the same thing but mislead through mankinds attempts to define it? The book actually states The "whole" world was deceived, not just this religion or that one but all of them. Didn't write it but looking around I can certainly see the meaning of the statement, and back other statements thorughout the Book. How else can mankind claim killing for a God, Who states do not kill. Dan

Congratulations. Youll fit right in with the great majority of prideful and arrogant people here who think anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot and is only blinded by stupidity and ignorance. Good to know you've taken a step back from actually caring about those who don't agree with your <edited> notion of knowing whats true and what isn't.

Thumbs up

Welcome dictator! I hope you find this place a good resource to continue your learning and growing. Unlike Magus, we make no claims to have the Truth (whatever that is) here. I prefer to think of this place as somewhere to open your mind and use reason to find truths rather than being blindly led like sheep to the slaughter.

Enjoy your stay with us!
