God is definitely not a vegan. And god does play favorites.

Seriously, why do you use that as an argument?

Deuteronomy 28:63 Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you.

God would get pleasure from ruining and destroying people.

Of course, the NIV tones it down. The NRSV has God 'taking delight' in destroying people.
