Which Gnosticism?

Double-negative.

I was a Christian, and now I am an atheist. So I know how Christians think. And think what you like, you were still right the first time. There is no god.

I imagine that is true of most of us, tjakey. (Substitute whatever religion you want for 'christian.') Children do not get a choice. They have this crap shoved into their heads and most...even if they don't take it literally....never get around to examining it to the point where they reject it.

Religion will fight tooth and nail to retain the right to indoctrinate the young. It's the only thing they have going for them.

Which reference to Gnosticism do you question?

Nightmare Hero I suspect is a member of the Gnostic Church in Los Angeles or one of its sister cities.

btw, if you want to know why atheists dislike Christianity (for those who do) wouldn't it be more effective to ask us than to tell us?

I agree. It just seemed like fun to turn the words around.
