Default Want full text of Damascus Document & Community Rule

Anybody have the full text to the Damascus Document?

Community Rule? AKA Manual of Discipline?

These are documents pertaining to sects I am interested in. Fragments of both are among the Dead Sea Scrolls. I've seen translations of fragments - but I want the complete texts.

Thanks to whomever...

This is a harder deal because it is too recent to have escaped copyright. The Damascus Document (CD) was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, 1QS (Community Rule) fifty years later. Had a look but nothing seems to be available except for little bits cited here and there. Surely someone knows a bootleg copy...

Does that mean Kirby's Open Scrolls Project can't be a complete collection?

The Open Scrolls Project is an effort at getting them translated anew, spin means that no existing translation can be posted online without express permission of whoever is holding the copyright.

Damn. I don't like being spoon fed this stuff. I want the source documents.

Anyone who thinks they have even a good portion of this intact - that would be appreciated.

Right, the Damascus document was discovered early. Finding fragments among the Dead Sea Scrolls though is quite interesting.

If it is the temple library, then it means they not only retained texts that were not in keeping with official "state" policy, as it were, but that they thought enough of them to remove and hide them along with the other treasures.
