Default Did Jesus quote from the Septuagint?

I vaguely remember listening to a podcast with either Hector Avalos or Bart Ehrman, in which it was asserted [Edit] that some of Jesus' quotations in some of the gospels stem from the Septuagint, giving the text a different meaning than what the Hebrew gives. [Edit/] Unfortunately I lost track of where these podcasts are.

My first question is: is this true? And my second question: Which parts?

Matthew 13.14-15, a quotation of Isaiah 6.9-10 placed on the lips of Jesus, is nearly word for word from the LXX.

Sir J. C. Hawkins breaks down the OT quotations in Matthew on pages 154-157 of his masterpiece, Horae Synopticae, including word counts. (The above verses, for example, are given as 47 of 48 words identical to the LXX.) Hawkins does not tell you which quotations actually come from the lips of Jesus, so you have to look each one of them up.

A more specific question might be did Jesus actually quote from Origen's greek translation of the septuaguint?

Best wishes,

Pete

What is a Greek translation of a Greek text?

Greek whispers? Good point though. Although the question still stands. ie: Do the authors of the gospels have Jesus quoting Origen's version of the greek? Or on the other hand can it be established that the authors of the gospels have Jesus quoting from an earlier version of the septuaguint than Origen's? And if so which?

Best wishes,

Pete

I have often wondered if Jeebus et al quoted from the LXX Apocrypha and it was later edited out or was recorded in books excluded from the xtian cannon.

Here is an interesting essay

Which Old Testament text did Jesus prefer and quote from?

Here is another site dealing with the LXX in the NT

Notes on the septuagint
