Mark 12:30 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Can someone give me a difinitive answer on how to nail down the terms used in the BIble. So many of my discussions with Christians hop all over the place becasue they equivocate words like soul, spirit, mind, body, heart, law etc to suit a particular verse or context but then when I try to use it that way later I am told that the definition has changed.
What are the Greek terms for mind (dianoia) and soul (pneuma/psykhe?) and spirit. Specifically related to Mark 12:30 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23. If in 1 Thess 5:23 the SOUL is the seat or reason, emotion, will and feelings etc and the body is the lifeless carcass that houses this soul and the spirit is the walkie talkie god provides a beleiver to communicate with him then what is the difference between the MIND and the SOUL in Mark 12:30?
