Default Biblical whips and the Passion

Perhaps experts here can answer.

What would have been the difference between the whips used by the Romans and the whip Jesus made in John 2:15?

Jesus made a whip of chords, the Romans I believe used leather with pieces of metal embedded to tare the skin & break bones. From the passage it’s not clear if Jesus really whipped anyone in particular, he used it to “drive them out of the Temple, including the Oxen.

Jesus had no broken bones.

John 19:36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken,"......

The ribs, the ribs! It made it even more painful to breathe when getting crucified. John was not a certified X Ray technician, he must have read them wrong.

The bible is not a textbook. That excerpt provides no evidence for whether or not Jesus' bones (ribs) were broken by the Roman's whips.

I meant that the bible isn't a source for details like that. JC's existance isn't in question with or without the bible's word.

Actually it is--see the various threads on Doherty and Mythicism.
