Ok,I am not making a claim about it but it makes sense to me,at least WAY better than God blowing up her privates... I mean, come on!
Besides, the concept of Jesus being half from Mary and half from God without a male intervention is contrary to the christian affirmation that Jesus was
"FULLY human and FULLY God". Jesus can not fit at least the human half of that requirement if he is not "made" from the sexual interaction of a male and a female human beings, since at the time they did not have artificial insemination. The God part I leave to the believers of such things, but the human part is unavoidable. IF there was ever an actual Jesus he has to have had a NORMAL human process in EVERY WAY,from begining to end and that means DEATH at the end...not floating about like a butterfly!

There was a novel called "King Jesus" written in 1946 by Robert Graves.

Then there is the book by Graham Phillips,"The Virgin Mary Conspiracy"

And http://www.velocitypress.com/pages/Religion.php

Again, all this is open to further investigation but I liked the idea...

"My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me -- holy is his name!" -- Mary (Luke 1:46 & forward)

You all are just looking for nonsense to pick on. With due recogition for the rare few atheists on the thread who aren't in the "any objection will do" camp -- how often do you hear the atheists say "Oh well I know the Bible better than Christians" but this thread sure doesn't look like it.

To the people who went with the "God is a rapist" paradigm: Did you ever read what Mary said about her pregnancy, or did you just decide you wanted to rile people who believe in the Holy One by calling him a rapist?

If you all want a real discussion about real issues fine but this ain't it.
