Interesting. It might be a good read, who knows? And you can buy it as a pdf file in English, from the website, although the price is in Euros. I didn't go farther than that.
From a preliminary reading, he has a lawsuit going on? Ah - he's suing the parish priest for "abuse of popular credulity and impersonation." Interesting to see how this plays out. I pity the judge, though. edit - he's suing the vatican somewhat, since the priest is being sued as a representative of ministers of religion. Did he expand this to include the vatican? Hmph - more reading to do... |

New
I can't see any dates on the website; has this just been published?
He seems to have thought through his reasoning for attacking Christianity... Quote:
But, unless he has some new source of information, its gotta be a rehash of existing arguments about the lack contemporary references for Christ. |

"THE ATHEISM OF LUIGI CASCIOLI
You are connected with the most courageous atheist of all times: Luigi Cascioli." I hope he hasn't written this himself. Although an atheist myself, I'm not very fond of braggers. |

Thanks for the information!
I'm Italian and I didn't know about this You can see here what appeared on one of Italian TV news (Italian only): http://www.luigicascioli.it/tg2/tg2alta.wmv This is from one of the State TV channels but is on the priests side as all the the TVs are now in the hands of our beloved ( ) right wing, Vatican ass-licker PM Brlusconi. He own 3 TV channels and as PM he "own" the 3 state tv channels too. In part you have to be Italian to fully understand what's happening. Here the RCC is still very powerful even if most part of Italians pay only lip service to Catholicism. The prosecutor tried twice to "end" this lawsuit as he's trying to avoid something nasty for his career, saying if the RCC is guilty of abuse of popular credulity. The law is very clear, "there is an abuse of popular credulity when someone, by means of fraud, deceives a great number of people". Yep, that's the RCC and lots of other churches and religions (and of political parties) I will post this on an Italian atheists mailing list Thanks Luciano |

"Christ, for the most part based on the figure of John of Gamala, son of Judas, downright descendant of the Asmoneian stock."
Never heard about this before. Any comments? |
